CMAA TRIES SOMETHING NEW (21-Jan-10)
The Country Music Association of Australia is launching two new initiatives designed to increase the involvement of fans in the association. Fan membership of the CMAA is now available, especially designed so that country music lovers who are not performers themselves can have an opportunity to be a part of the CMAA. The Association is also running an online auction of items donated by its members including The McClymonts and Kasey Chambers.
For only $61 per year, you can become a Fan Member of the Country Music Association of Australia and if you join before January 31st 2010, you will be entered into the draw to win a Fender guitar signed by all the 2010 Golden Guitar winners. Fan membership is available by visiting the CMAA website at www.country.com.au and makes the perfect gift for the country fan who has everything.
Want your own piece of country memorabilia? The CMAA has launched its very own fundraising online auction with items donated by many of the most popular Australian country musicians. Running until February 2010, the auction gives the chance for fans to bid for rare items and collectables including the top worn by Kasey Chambers during her 2004 ARIA Award performance, a Fender guitar signed by The McClymonts and other merchandise and collectables. Log on to the CMAA website and follow the links to bid.
The Country Music Association of Australia (CMAA) is the national peak industry body who organise and promote a range of country music events and concerts and develop ongoing programs for industry research, professional development and promotion in the industry.
These initiatives will help ensure that the CMAA can continue to organise, promote, develop and encourage country music within Australia.
