Last year i wrote a song for the Queensland floods after seeing the floods in my home town of Bundaberg QLD. I donated the money from the song to the people who lost everything in the floods. The song 'We All Live In The Same Town' went onto be played on mainstream radio in the U.K. and used in schools in the U.S. also it was used in a Guinness Record Attempt. All of this is on You Tube where the song has had over 17000 hits. I have also worked with a movie music composer in Vienna. I got off my butt and wrote the music and reworked some of my old songs for my first album -Strange Daze- which was Produced in Nashville USA. The album has a Country feel which describes what ive seen throughout my years of Performing. The Track 'Do You Love Me' was lifted off the album early and has already had great reviews on the RGW Radio network in the UK and NBN Network throughout Nashville. Internet Radio Alive 365 listeners gave it a ' 9.5 ' rating in over 200 countries. The Album is now Launched . The Album has some the Nashville's greatest session players. Anna van Riel is Byron Bay's newest emerging artist. In August 2010 she was nominated in six categories for the NCEIA Dolphin Awards along with taking an award home. She recent;y made it into the Brisbane heats for th Telstra Road to Tamworth competition and has just found out she has two songs that have made it into the 2nd round of judging in the Australian songwriters competition.
